چکیده:

In recent decades, intellectual capital has increasingly caught organizational theorists’ and managers’ attention. And extensive research has been carried out into intellectual capital and factors affecting it in organizational settings. Purpose: this research is aimed at identifying the intellectual capital of the universities and developing a model for measuring it. Design/methodology/approach: To measure the intellectual capital, a questionnaire was developed. Affirmative and exploratory factor analyses were done to be assured of reliability and validity. Then it was distributed among a sample of 94 managers and 343 employees from Ferdowsi University. It is an analytic descriptive research specifically based on structural equation modeling (SEM). findings: Results showed that human capital, structural capital, relational capital and innovation capital form the intellectual capital of the universities and there is a positive and significant relationship between them. Practical implications: Ultimately, several suggestions have been offered to improve the optimum use of intellectual capital in universities.
